Estevan offers a diverse rental market. Rental units range from one bedroom unfurnished suits to fully furnished condominiums. According to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s (CMHC) October 2012 Rental Market Survey, the city's average rent was $1,030, compared to $948 in 2011, or a 5.5 per cent hike. The average rates were $657 for a bachelor suite (a 9.1 per cent jump from October of 2011), $944 for a one-bedroom apartment (a 4.7 per cent increase), $1,111 for a two-bedroom apartment (a 3.8 per cent hike). The vacancy rate was 1.2 per cent for one-bedroom apartments and four-tenths of a per cent for two-bedroom accommodations as per the report.
